Keep wallboard manageable, contain fine debris, and give the crew a safer route from the renovation area. The goal is to give the hauling crew enough detail to assess the work without burying the useful facts.
Keep dry pieces together
Stack intact offcuts flat when space allows. Bag small gypsum pieces without making bags too heavy to lift. Wet wallboard is heavier and should be identified separately.
Control dust before moving material
Use appropriate containment during demolition and cleanup. Avoid creating a loose dust trail through occupied rooms. If the age or composition of the wall material raises an asbestos concern, stop and seek qualified assessment.
Protect the route
Clear tools, cords, and retained trim from the path. Note finished floors, tight turns, stairs, and door thresholds. A short, open carry is different from moving debris from an upper floor.
Send useful photos
Include one close view of the material and one wide view showing the whole pile and loading route. Photos help the hauler estimate volume without pretending weight or access can always be judged perfectly from an image.
